Why is EVERY Starlink dish in the world on the 192.168.100.1 IP address?

Every Starlink dish ships with the same local IP address: 192.168.100.1. Why?

Using the same IP works fine with one dish. But if your Starlink installation has two dishes, it creates a real problem: the Starlink app talks to each dish through that IP address, which means the Starlink app can only see one of them at a time. If you’re running a Starlink setup with two dishes, e.g. multiple Starlinks on a yacht, 2 Starlink Mini dishes on a broadcast truck, or starlinks installed on your RV, the second Starlink dish is invisible to you.

Speedify 16.7 ships a new Starlink Control Center that solves this directly. Speedify talks to both Starlink dishes in parallel, shows each one’s obstruction map side by side, includes built-in bonded Starlink speed tests, and includes an alignment wizard that helps you point each Starlink dish at a different slice of sky. Speedify then bonds or load balances your traffic across both Starlink dishes for faster upload and download speeds and uninterrupted internet connectivity.
