Where have we been?

I'm not wanting sympathy. I'm wanting you all to understand that we had unfortunate events happen continually over a period of time and reasoning why nothings been posted during that time.
Trinity started self mutilating her legs. She was almost completely healed when she chewed off the inner black ring of the collar I mentioned. I quickly ordered the custom collar but it was entirely to large. (The orginal collars were not large enough). The day before the second set arrived she got worse and this time it caused an infection but we didn't know yet and my husband now needed my car for work. She passed the same day as her vet appointment to get antibiotics to treat the infection. I'm not getting into details nor do I have interest in sharing photos publicly. From July 9th until September 11th she got the most attention a bird could possibly have. Some of the other birds tried to pick at her collars and it was hard at times for her to maneuver around, therefore she spent most daylight hours on my shoulder. She was already close to me because I babied her from the day I got her. She never made friends with any of the other birds until the end of July when Phoenix became her only true bird friend. From that day on, not only was she on me, but he was either on me or near, just to be close with her. We were never sure why she started mutilating. She was treated for allergies, dry skin and inflammation. It started during a molt. My personal opinion looking back was either anxiety or perhaps she had a fracture in her legs from falling, due to being flightless since hatching. Did she just need another bird to connect with? Did his love come too little too late? Was it because she couldn't fly? A fracture? Hormones? Molting? I don't have the answer but I'm broken inside because she started life in such a horrible manner. I go over in my mind the differences between her and Cypress and how hes thrived so well. Cypress grew up with Bob. They were a weeks difference in age. He made friends and found his love for babies. He gets around like a champion. I continue the would-of, could-of and should-of. I'm thrilled we were offered her, to give her a chance at life. My hope is that she saw happiness in her short time in this world. I always said to her "That's my widdle dirl in the whole wide world". She absolutely knew she was loved and was spoiled sooo much. If any one is wondering if she was in any pain in her last days with us, she had pain medication that I had got from her previous appointment.
For those of you who follow us on Facebook. I'm truly sorry. I'm doing everything in my power to gain access back to the original page. It's a long process but I'm doing everything so far that I need to, given the circumstances. If I do get access back, I will merge the 2 pages called Chatterbox Parrots together. This is our new page.

For those of you wondering what the LLC page is for. It's a way for adoptees to stay in touch, sharing more educational information and some behind the scenes stuff, that will only be seen on that page.

I have also started to update our website with all our birds (Flock). All have been added, a little over a week ago. That section still needs work but they are finally all up to date. I may add a memorial page for Mardi (orginal) and Trinity. You'll also find our newest flock member on there that we got on the last day of May. When time permits, I have more work I'd like to do to the site as well.
