📚 Description: I'll always have a soft spot for Gibson Doves. They are my all-time favorite acoustic guitar ever made... even if they aren't necessarily the best. The simplistic, but elegant design of the guitar and pick guard make this the perfect style of guitar to me. When it comes to hummingbird vs dove... of course the Dove always wins for me! The biggest difference between the Dove and Hummingbird is the Dove is a 25.5" scale length and has maple back, sides and *neck* whereas the hummer is a 24.75" scale length with mahogany back, sides and neck.

Black Gibson Doves tend to get associated with Elvis for his use of a 1969 one that his father gave him in 1971.
