Bronwyn Bishop’s ‘unhinged’ Nazi slur | Media Bites
Bronwyn Bishop backs down after suggesting the ABC shared the same views as the Nazi Party in the elimination of the Jews.
Appearing on Sharri Markson’s show last week, the former Liberal MP and regular Sky News commentator, said the ABC was ‘aligning’ itself with the policy of Germany’s National Socialist Party, also known as the Nazi Party.
Following an ABC complaint, Bishop gave an on-air apology, with Sky News boss Paul Whittaker writing to the broadcaster to say the remarks were ‘not appropriate’.
Bite-sized media criticism for a mid-week Media Watch fix. Paul Barry offers a lighter take each Thursday night.
