Making a Cuban Link Chain: (1 KILO of ROSE GOLD)

This is the process of how we create a hand made Cuban link chain. We

take you step by step throughout the entire chain of events until final polish.

Seen here are the following steps.

1. Melt the Gold into rectangular bars
2. Roll the bars into thinner longer bars called "pre wire" using a rolling mill.
3. Using draw plates, we run the "pre wire" through to round out the edges and obtain a specific size that'll make the links. Once achieved its now called "wire"
4. Roll the "wire" onto a mandril thats Oval shaped to a specific size, this will be the spacing between the links.
5. Remove the mandril and cut the rolled "wire" in half creating links.
6. Pair the links
7. Solder the links
8. Turn the links flat
9. Attach flat links chain onto a board and hand file to specific weight and size
10. Make the lock boxes by hand and attach to chain
11. Polish. and final buff
