Wireless Uplighting For $5,000 - Is It Worth It? /// One of the scariest things I did as a DJ was purchase a full set of wireless battery powered uplighting. It was the single biggest purchase I have ever made for my mobile DJ equipment set-up. More than my Bose speakers, my Rane 64 mixer, Reloop turntables and Denon controllers. When people hire a DJ there is an expectation that all of that gear will be needed … but uplighting? That’s a total upsell.

Few people are ever requesting wireless uplighting for their wedding reception. Few are ever debating about wireless uplighting vs. no uplighting. So needless to say, I was a bit worried on how long it would take for me to start seeing positive ROI on this purchase.
