Japan’s Studio Ghibli honoured at Cannes Film Festival
Japanese animation company Studio Ghibli has become the first collective to receive an honorary Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
The founder of the studio is 83-years-old and did not attend the festival, so the award was given to his son.
The Oscar-winning studio is behind a number of animated hits popular among fans of the genre.
