The inaugural match of GT20 Canada Season 1 between the Toronto Nationals and the Vancouver Knights was a run feast.

Batting first Vancouver Knights scored 227/4 on the back of 2 explosive innings, Evin Lewis opening the batting scored a brilliant 96 off 55 balls, and Andre Russell coming at the back of the innings scored a quickfire 54* off just 20 balls.

In reply, the Toronto Nationals lost 2 wickets for 60 runs. Steve Smith (61 off 41 balls) and Anton Devcich (92* off 44 balls) built up a partnership of 91 runs keeping up with the required run rate. The captain Daren Sammy sealed off the win for Toronto Nationals with a huge six over long-on.

Vancouver Knights scored 166 runs off boundaries and Toronto Nationals scored 168 runs off boundaries.
