Intissar Fakir unpacks the consequences of Israel's deal to normalize relations with Morocco in exchange for the United States recognizing Morocco's sovereignty over the Western Sahara. The disputed Western Sahara has been in the spotlight recently as the Polisario Front recently broke the ceasefire with the Moroccan government to liberate the region from Moroccan rule.

Over the past few months, Israel has normalized relations with a number of African and Middle Eastern countries as part of the Abraham Accords.
