The Abandoned Village of Greenbank's Hollow

Howdy friends!
In this video we take a walk through the scenic Green Mountains of Vermont to discover the ruins of the abandoned town of Greenbank's Hollow. In the mid 1800's, the now ruined town of Greenbank's Hollow was a small metropolis in an otherwise untamed wilderness. The main industry of the community was the 5 story wool mill building that once stood over Joe's Brook. The town helped produce woolen uniforms for the American Civil War and was one of the largest wool mills in the country in its heyday. All of this would change when the mill burned to the ground abruptly on a cold December night, effectively leaving the town without its lifeblood. Slowly the town was abandoned and reclaimed by the wilderness. Today we will walk through these abandoned root cellars and meandering walls to tell the story of this once thriving community that now sits abandoned and lost in the forest.
