APRS Digipeater with a Raspberry Pi

Setting up an APRS digipeater with direwolf and xastir on a Raspberry Pi 3 running Stretch. There are multiple ways to accomplish this. This is one of the methods I use.

This is the digipeater that I run in my Jeep. It helps my Baofeng APRS setup be heard when I am in the backcountry hiking/hunting. It could also be used as a fill in digipeater for your ham shack.

Compile Direwolf

git clone https://www.github.com/wb2osz/direwolf
cd direwolf
make
sudo make install
make install-conf
Get sound card info
arecord -l (note:that is a lower case L)
Install Xastir
sudo apt-get install xastir
