Diwali Wishes in Fiji Hindi, From an Indo Fijian

Indo-Fijians or Fiji-Indians form around 38% of the country's population (2009). A mix of people from different castes, religions and regions, Indo-Fijians created a new language, a new cuisine, and a new culture that had flavour of both India and the Pacific. Hindus among them brought their books and kept their motherland, India close to their heart. Language is an important factor in transmitting culture. Language is a software, it delivers ideas that may never be 'translated' into another language.
