Maks & Meryl: "Magic On The Dance Floor!" (Wk 10 - 2nd Night)

In this 8th and final installment of Maks & Meryl: "Magic On The Dance Floor!" (Wk 10 - 2nd Night), we come to another end of the season on Tuesday (Mar. 20, 2014).
At the start, is a very short piece from "Road to the Finals" with Maks & Meryl right before the show starts. Then they dance the Foxtrot/Cha Cha Cha (24-Hour Fusion Challenge). Brandy is in the audience again tonight. In the following segment are Maks & Meryl, Mark & Candace and Derek & Amy onstage while Christina Perri performs "Human" with footage from the show. While the song continues to play it's time to see someone take the 3rd place for this season, and it's none other than Mark and Candace. As the music is nearing the end, there's the stand-off/showdown between Maks & Meryl and Derek & Amy begins and guess WHO THE WINNER IS! MAKS & MERYL (yeah!) with a wonderful ending!!!!! It's Maks' 1st win in 13 seasons (this one making it his 14th). He was due, wouldn't you say? And having Meryl as his celeb partner was 'the icing on the cake'. Little did Maks know that by returning this season, that he would end up the DWTS 18 Champ! In his 'short speech' to Tom Bergeron: "There is a reason it didn't happen before - it's because this was meant to happen with this one." Meryl is one very lucky young lady to have been partnered with Maks!

These are the comments the Judges said to Maks & Meryl:
Carrie Ann Inaba, standing up with her arms in the air, was yelling as loud as she could to be heard over the crowd. "Season Eighteen has. Season Eighteen has." Laughing at how loud the audience was cheering, she stops and says, "They're so good! They deserve it. Let 'em have it!" When the crowd settles down, she goes on to say, "Okay, what I was saying is Season Eighteen has been phenomenal. I mean, just, I think I, we've been doing it for so long and it's mind boggling how great the season was. But the best part of the season to me, honestly speaking, was you two. Your artistry, your passion, the partnership, the focus, the determination. You are marvelous. Meryl, marvelous."

Len Goodman said, "Season Eighteen, it's been like a novel, full of twists and turns, and we've come here to the last page and we are sure not, still not sure how the story will end. For one, it will be a happy ending. And I'm not saying this is true, but this may be my last season and if it is, I couldn't wish for a better dance to watch to finish up with. You are great!"

Bruno Toniolo ends with, "Oh, we'll sort it out later, but I can state a fact. The earth is moving for me and is moving for you. I tell you, something is stirring inside me because watching you two is like, is like when you discover the passion and the excitement of your first love.dance. Thank you."

For those who couldn't read the bottom of the screen when Maks explained how he felt about getting the trophy:
Trying to gather his words, Maks said, "Awe man, it's, it's, it's just plastic, but it means so much and when it's lasting a decade of running after, it means that much more, and to do it with Meryl is a dream come true. There is a reason it didn't happen before - it's because this was meant to happen with this one."

AND FOR THAT, WE'LL NEVER FORGET DWTS 18, AS YOU GAVE US SO MANY WONDERFUL AND TOUCHING MEMORIES FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END!"

MERYL:
"WHATEVER YOU DID TO MAKS, HE'S REALLY A 'TEDDY BEAR' AND A 'SOFTIE'. THANK YOU FOR BRINGING OUT ANOTHER SIDE OF HIM THAT WE NEVER EXPECTED TO SEE, AND WE OWE IT ALL TO YOU! LAST BUT NOT LEAST... WHAT A MAGNIFICANT DANCER YOU ARE ON THE DANCE FLOOR, AS WELL AS ON SKATES! YOU'VE MADE YOUR FAMILY VERY PROUD & YOUR SKATING/DANCING PARTNER, CHARLIE!"

MAKS:
"AT LAST!... AT LONG LAST! YOU CAME BACK THIS SEASON AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED? YOUR TAKING HOME THE MBT TO YOUR MOTHER & FATHER, AND GRANDMOTHER SOFIYA IS FINALLY HAPPY THAT ONE OF HER CHMERKOVSKIY GRANDSONS DID THIS AFTER ALL THESE SEASONS! WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU, AS WELL AS THE DWM FAMILY.
WITH LOVE FROM ALL OF YOUR SUPPORTERS, VOTERS, AND IN GENERAL... EVERYONE! CONGRATULATIONS!"
