I've Twittered a lot about doing a 'car test' before laying the final mixes. Well, here's what we do!! We basically drive around while listening to the mix that we've laid on a CD and we listen to it a various level....first loud, then loud again, then really soft and then medium volume to see if we need to make any tweaks. We always make some sort of tweaks based on the 'car test' listens. Take a ride with us while we car test the mix "It's Time." Bob Horn is driving and Patrick Hewlitt is in the backseat. I'm taking notes on my iPad in the passenger seat ;)
