El puente del Infiernillo es una de las principales atracciones del viaje por ferrocarril entre Lima y Huancayo.

Su arquitectura nos muestra lo difícil y agreste de la zona. Ubicado entre 2 túneles y que parecieran silbarse de ladera a ladera, está situado en las profundidades de un cañón y que lo ha hecho ser muy famoso en varias partes del mundo.

Es un puente con historia. El primer puente fue instalado entre 1871 y 1875, La segunda estructura -y ya más moderna y que hasta hoy perdura-, fue instalada en 1908.
