Big City Police Chiefs Come Clean On 1968 Street Protests

In 1989 I got the chance to interview almost 200 individuals reflecting on the 1960s. Some important people some ordinary folk. Among them were several big city police chiefs who are selected because of their honesty about what was going on at that time and how they felt about street protests, street riots, street demonstrations, legal and illegal actions. During this current crisis in America after the murder of George Floyd, I thought I would post some of their comments to help Americans and those around the world reflect on the differences and similarities between what happened on the streets in 1968 between police and protesters and what is happening these days in the USA and around the world.
