Overnight in Plastic Wrap Shelter During Huge Snowstorm

Join me on my most intense journey yet as I build a shelter out of plastic wrap (saran wrap/pallet wrap) and spend the night inside through a big snow storm

Today I take a sled full of gear (food/water/clothes jackets/cooking gear/ and more) into the snow covered forest to accomplish the goal of building a shelter that can protect me so I can survive a night through a winter storm. I started out by cutting some small trees down and tying them with rope to four base trees that will be the pillars of my shelter. I then created a roof structure and covered it with the plastic wrap. I made the roof very sturdy so that it will be protect me form the weight snow in the night. After I finished the roof I began to set up the hammock. I took a little rest sitting in the hammock having some hot tea and enjoying the beauty around me. Shortly after I started to wrap up the walls of the shelter. I went around and around and around to build up the walls. Once I built up the walls to a sturdy thickness I began to cut and make the door. I fashioned the door frame from some sticks and rope using an X for support in the center. I then affixed the door to the shelter with some thin rope to act as hinges so I could swing the door open and close with ease. I then added a little extra wrapping to increase the strength of the shelter. Finally it was built! I was so happy the shelter was now build :D!! I then organize and arrange my gear inside making it my home for the day and night. I also pulled some large logs around the base of the walls on some sides to act as wind and animal barriers. it was now time for some late lunch. Spicy shrimp ramen with a can of salmon it was. I boiled the water and then cooked the noodles and ate it all up yumm! Now it was time for a winter stroll to the pond nearby to see some scenery. It was so beautiful the snow was covering the world around me like a blanket. I enjoyed the footage I managed to get I hope you do as well. Back inside we went there I set up my zippo hand warmer to help me fight the cold. I was visited by a turkey up in a tree. It was cool to see one up in the tree during the day. Shortly after it was dinner time. Some delicious pesto pasta it was. I boiled the water cooked the noodles and mixed in the sauce and it was golden. Such a tasty meal! It was now night time. It was pitch black outside. I decided to go on a little venture to see if I saw anything. Just some beautiful snowy scenes is what I found. It was now time for bed. I crawled in my sleeping bag with me mr.buddy heater on to keep me warm. I was exhausted and ready for sleep form the long days work. I survived the night and went on to make some breakfast. Pancakes it was. Sadly I forgot cooking oil so the pancakes were not what I wanted. luckily I had back up breakfast! After my breakfast it was time to step outside and see how the shelter managed during the snowstorm. It did beautifully! Sadly it was time to pack up my gear and head back. I load up my sled and pull my gear back through the winter wonderland. What a day and night and such a wonderful experience :D. What a blast!

I decided to leave up the fort for now. If it survives the winter I will camp in it again in the summer. If it doesn't make it I will just go back and clean it all up and recycle the plastic.
