this film does Romance differently

Romcom is not my choice of genre but Dan In Real Life starring Steve Carrel is a very good film, so I thought I'd give my analysis and consider why it works for me where other romcoms tend not to. Romance isn't an easy genre to marry alongside comedy without the comedy becoming forced, romance contrived, or the emotional get getting lost. Also with some slightly unfair and flippant comments on Love Actually.
