Istanbul Süleymaniye Mosque | Architect Sinan | Sultan Süleyman

In this video, i am walking around the magnificent mosque of Istanbul. We also enter the Süleymaniye camii, walk on the carpet and explore one of the main sites of Istanbul.

I do recommend every Istanbul travel to come to this place. You can enjoy also the magnificent view of old Istanbul, from the Golden Horn to Beyoğlu.

This mighty mosque was built by Kanuni Sultan Süleyman (Suleiman the Magnificent ) between the years 1550-1557. The mosque and its surrounding buildings were designed by Mimar (architect) Sinan. He was responsible for a great number of works in Istanbul.

The Süleymaniye Mosque has four minarets and ten şerefes (balconies). They represent the fact that Süleyman was the fourth of the sultans who ruled in Istanbul afer the conquest and the tenth sultan after the establishment of the Ottoman Empire.

We are walking in Suleymaniye Mosque and also exploring the grave of the Sultan.
