Recently, I had a one day visit to Dariapur in Purba Medinipur District of West Bengal. Now want to share a few words with you all. Dariapur is a place where famous nationalist and Bengali novelist Bankim Chandra chattopadhaya worked and wrote his most famous writing 'Kapalkundala' making this place historic.
The original Kapalkundala Temple is now almost down to dust, have a look yourself. Very neglected from all possible corners, no maintainance. 
There is a lighthouse, working and very well maintained. The river Rasulpur is 3 km from the lighthouse. This river falls into the river Ganges here. That place is also very enjoying except only a little bad odour of dried fish (Sutki).
Dariapur is nearly 20 km from Kanthi (Contai) and 50 km from Digha.
