Hello Friends!
This is a follow-up from my last video discussing benefits. I know this is a controversial topic, but it is also very nuanced. I wanted to expand and offer more context on our situation.
We are working on getting off of benefits, but it is easier said than done. That's not me being defeatist about it, just realistic. Out of all the jobs I've applied for in the last 20 years, I've only ever been called in for 5 interviews, and I was rejected from all but one. Difficulty finding reliable, consistent employment in my hometown is not a new problem and has only gotten harder since lockdown.
