🌍 Is Carbon Capture a Waste of Money New Study Says YES!

A groundbreaking study from Stanford University reveals that renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro, geothermal) is far cheaper & cleaner than carbon capture tech for fighting climate change. In fact, relying on carbon capture could increase CO₂, pollution, and energy costs—while slowing the transition to clean power.

🔍 Key Findings:
✔️ Switching to 100% renewables by 2050 could cut energy costs by 60% and reduce energy demand by 54%.
✔️ Carbon capture (even if powered by renewables) is less efficient and more expensive than just replacing fossil fuels.
✔️ A full renewable transition could prevent 5 million deaths per year from air pollution.
✔️ Direct air capture (DAC) is NOT the answer—electrification & efficiency are far better.

💡 Why does this matter?
Governments & corporations are investing billions in carbon capture, but this research suggests that money would be better spent on wind, solar, and storage—saving lives, cutting costs, and actually reducing emissions.
