MALCESINE Malcesine is a small town on the eastern shore of Lake Garda in northern Italy. The town is situated at the edge of the Veneto region, in the province of Verona. It's a picturesque tourist resort with cobbled lanes and a castle, crammed between the blue lake waters and the massive mountain ridge behind, Monte Baldo. Malcesine's most striking feature as you approach over Lake Garda is its historic castle, the Castello Scaligero, which is also the town's main tourist attraction. The building takes its name from the della Scala family, who owned it and made alterations in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries; the castle was being used, restored and adapted for military purposes up until the nineteenth century. There is also a room dedicated to the German writer Goethe, who visited Malcesine in 1786.

TORBOLE 2:17 is a tiny village looking like a coloured postcard. Torbole sul Garda is a dream for every holidaymaker: free beaches full of facilities, cycle lanes that connect the town center with the other villages on Lake Garda.

SIRMIONE 10:21 is an elegant resort town on the southern edge of Lake Garda. It has attracted vacation-goers for centuries. 13th-century Scaligero Castle and the Roman ruins of the Grotte di Catullo are top of the list for most visitors, as is swimming in the lake’s crystal-clear waters.
