Forming an AP Concentration | AP Portfolio

It has definitely been a rough ending of this school year, and some of you may be wondering "how am I supposed to come up with my portfolio idea for my AP Portfolio and AP concentration?" Well here is your answer. Whether you have already made an AP Art Portfolio (Drawing or 2D Design) or are making a portfolio for the first time, this video is for you! Here are all my tips and tricks for making a Concentration/Sustained Investigation idea. You will also get a glimpse into some of my pieces and ideas I used. I hope this helps and as always, ask questions of you have them!

An AP Art Portfolio is a collection of 24 individual art pieces. It is divided into two groups: range of approaches (originally called Breadth), and sustained investigation (formerly known and concentration). The range of approaches section is a collection of 12 pieces that show off all the skills you have, using different techniques and media. The sustained investigation is made of 12 pieces that are based around one central idea. My first sustained investigation idea was "hands and their potential for symbolism, expression, and communication". My concept for my second portfolio was "humans as vessels" which later moved to a study of surrealism.
