ASMR Stationery Haul from Japan using Buyee

So this video was an unboxing of a stationery haul from Japan using Buyee. I did go over how the process works at the end of the video but I thought I would write a short review here.

I am not new to proxy services or package forwarding services so I am basing these points off of my experience. Overall the using Buyee was great. It's always hard to purchase from Japan since most of the time they do not accept overseas credit cards. For this purpose, I find Buyee very beneficial. For things, you cannot find elsewhere or if you would like to cut back on the shipping by having package consolidation.

So here is my next point. Having package consolidation is really important to me, I like to have everything arriving at the same time. Buyee offered that service for a fee but when I opened the package I noticed that almost everything was in their original packaging. It would have made more sense to repack the items so that you could save on shipping as well as go through fewer boxes when opening.

Using their service was quite straightforward up until the point I wanted to check that all my items where included in order to consolidate them. For some reason, Buyee purchased items from Loft separately even though it's from one shop so they arrived in separate packages. With Amazon, I understand it's from different sellers so it's expected to arrive separately. This wouldn't have been an issue if the interface was easier to use. It was quite hard to find everything by the way they were displayed on the screen. It was just a little messy and hard to view. I think the website could use some streamlining to be more user friendly. The rest of my experience is pretty positive. It was super fast to use. I would get emails 1-2 days later that they have completed a step. So I was pretty impressed with the speed. It also arrived within the week to the UAE!

The shipping cost was quite high but it's quite expected shopping from Japan to the UAE. But I feel if they had repacked that cost can come down slightly. They also charge quite a few small fees throughout the process but that is the only charges Buyee makes in order for us to pay to use their service. There is no subscription fee needed which is an added bonus.

So for me personally, I haven't used a proxy service option available in Japan so I'm very happy to be able to have this option whenever I need to make a purchase. I would use it only for things I can't find elsewhere or if I want to shop from multiple shops and have them all delivered to me in one package. Shopping from these 2 shops here is almost the same cost of shipping from only one shop without Buyee. So to me, I see the opportunity for lots of savings.
