“UNA HISTORIA DE LA ALHAMBRA”
[“A STORY OF THE ALHAMBRA”]

The inspiration for this piece is the Alhambra, the monumental complex located in Granada (Andalucía, Spain). The story begins with a young guitarist, represented by the piano, whom we find sadly playing his guitar right in front of the walls of the Alhambra. Through his voice and his guitar, he tries to send a message of love to his beloved who is held captive inside the palace.

One night, as the young man plays his guitar in a magical way, a gust of wind manages to catch those musical notes, which begin to fly over every grand corner of the Alhambra until dawn arrives and those notes manage to enter the palace gardens, where his beloved is sorrowfully strolling. Unexpectedly, the young woman recognizes the melody driven by the wind that carries a message of love from her beloved. In an explosion of joy, she begins to dance and embrace the wind with a joy never before seen on her face: her lover is alive and, thanks to the music she has received his message.

After this magical moment, the wind once again carries those musical notes over the entire city of Granada until it vanishes into the infinite.

Music has managed to unite their hearts forever.

“UNA HISTORIA DE LA ALHAMBRA”

Esta obra está inspirada en la Alhambra, complejo monumental situado en Granada (Andalucía, España). La historia comienza con un joven guitarrista, representado por el piano, el cual se encuentra tristemente tocando su guitarra justo delante de las murallas de la Alhambra. A través de su voz y su guitarra, intenta hacer llegar un mensaje a su amada, que se encuentra cautiva dentro del palacio.

Una noche, mientras el joven toca su guitarra y de manera mágica, una ráfaga de viento consigue arrastrar esas notas musicales, las cuales comienzan a sobrevolar todos los grandiosos rincones de la Alhambra, hasta que llega el amanecer, y esas notas consiguen adentrarse en los jardines del palacio, donde su amada se encuentra paseando tristemente. De manera inesperada, la joven consigue reconocer esa melodía conducida por el viento, la cual contiene un mensaje de amor de su amado. En una explosión de júbilo, la joven comienza a danzar y a abrazar el viento con una alegría nunca antes vista en su rostro: su amado sigue vivo y gracias a la música ha conseguido recibir su mensaje.

Tras este mágico momento, el viento vuelve a llevarse esas notas musicales sobrevolando toda la ciudad de Granada hasta desvanecerse en el infinito.

La música ha conseguido unir sus corazones para siempre.
