Who is Elrond? - Ancestors & Early Life of Elrond Halfelven - Part 1 - First Age - Tolkien Lore

Who is Elrond? In the first part of this deep dive into Tolkien's lore we look at Elrond's ancestors and early Life in the First Age and early Second Age, so far before the Lord of the Rings took place. This is probably one of the most detailed LotR lore videos out there.

In this part I cover mostly what we find in the Silmarillion and also a bit of the writing process of Tolkien.

This includes King Thingol, Beren and Lúthien, Dior, Elwing, Fëanor, Turgon, Idril, Tuor, Eärendil. We also discuss Thranduil and canon a bit, but also Galadriel, Celeborn and Celebrimbor.

- Nature of Middle-earth was not out when I wrote the script.
- 1:40:48 I say that Galadriel and Celeborn leave Beleriand after the fall of Nargothrond, but it should be before the fall of Nargothrond, but around the time of this event.
