Kashmir’s iconic Tulip Garden in Srinagar is experiencing an overwhelming surge in visitors, with a record-breaking 2.5 lakh tourists flocking to the garden within just 10 days of its opening on March 26. Known as Asia’s largest tulip garden, it offers breathtaking views of tulips in every imaginable shade, set against the backdrop of the Zabarwan Mountains. The garden has become a major attraction for both domestic and international tourists, with many coming to capture the stunning beauty through selfies or simply to enjoy the vibrant spring blooms.
This year, the garden is showcasing 74 varieties of tulips, along with other spring flowers like hyacinths, daffodils, muscari, and cyclamens. With favorable weather and intermittent rain, officials are optimistic that the tulips will remain in full bloom for up to 30 days, extending the window for visitors to enjoy the spectacular sight. The Department of Floriculture is hopeful that this year’s footfall will surpass all previous records, with last year seeing over 4.65 lakh visitors. The garden’s beauty, coupled with the region’s charm, has made it an unmissable destination this spring
