The way to check the maximum speed of a motorcycle whose speedometer displays only 299 km/h:
1. Mount the camera as close as possible to the speedometer.
2. Get to maximum speed and keep it up for some time.
3. Watching the recording, measure the time you traveled at maximum speed.
4. Check the distance you have traveled during this time.
Calculate the speed using the formula: S / T = V.
For my Suzuki GSX-R 1000 K6 this is 1.4 km / 16s = 315 km/h.
