We continue our review of the inquiries you may need to answer in your interview for permanent residence with a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officer.

In this video, we will cover questions that might surface in your immigration marriage interview about the following four areas of your marital relationship: (a) questions about your wedding and marriage, (b) questions about your kitchen, (c) questions about your bedroom, and (d) questions about what you did the day before, the two days before, the week before you permanent residency marriage interview.

You might say to yourself, “Why prepare for my green card marriage interview? This is easy stuff.”

Don’t be too sure.

By the end of this video, I hope that you’ll realize these tips for your family-based adjustment of status interview are not something to avoid. Rather, embrace them as a green card interview guide because the questions you are asked could be much, much harder than you ever imagine.

To refresh your recollection, in the first video, we talked about inquiries into how you and your spouse met, your employment and your spouse’s employment, your current home, and special family days.

If you haven’t watched the first video, you may want to pause this video, and go back and watch part 1 of this series, Then return to this video, as you’ll be able to better grasp how these various topical areas fit together.

In that video, I briefly mentioned that not every couple is forced to go through an intensive immigration interview question and answer session about marriage. When this happens, this is referred to as a Stokes Interview.

So much of the advice in this three-part series can be utilized as a Stokes marriage interview guide, and will help you prepare for the government's marriage-based immigration fraud questioning.

As I note throughout these videos, if your permanent residency application, the I-485 adjustment of status application is bona fide, is real, is legitimate, this part of the permanent resident process should be easy for you . . . granted you prepare.

In other words, when couples have to endure the lengthier inquiries, the interview is usually based on a suspicion of immigration fraud, i.e., immigration marriage fraud.
