This is a simple bed design, made mostly with inexpensive construction lumber (aka two-by material) from the home centre. It is fairly tall, to allow for storage underneath. It is assembled using bed bolts, which provide a strong secure connection, but is still easy to take apart for moving.

I make a lot of use of the Dowelmax jig to help with this build, but you can use other doweling jigs as well, or even make a jig out of lumber.
