US media ‘carry on’ about early voting

Sky News host Paul Murray says there is an awful lot of “carrying on” in the US media about early voting being what will “do in Donald Trump”, but the actual numbers show the president is either winning or the margin is close.

“The prevailing wisdom seems to be that by a margin of two to one Democrats are voting early at this election,” Mr Murray said.

Mr Murray pointed to “actual counted ballots as late as tonight” which show states such as Wisconsin, Arizona and Georgia where Trump is either leading or the margin is definitely “not two to one”.

“Does this mean that Trump is going to win? No I’m not foolish enough to say that, but does it mean that there are signs right now that Biden is sweeping the floor? Absolutely not,” he said.

“In fact, off current projections, we are talking about this thing coming down to one or two states.”
