Water Bottle BioGas Plant Build

Hello everybody and thank you for taking a quick look at this little build video. The project here is building a biogas digestor using a 5 gallon water bottle and some stuff that was in the shop. So far I've only had to purchase 2 small tube clamps and the gas flow valve so this has only cost about $10 or so and has been easy enough I would let my kids make one if they wanted to.
The basic idea here came from some kids in the Pakistan Science Club which I believe can be found at paksc.org or you can just look up their video here on YouTube. The plan is that organic material will break down in the anaerobic environment of the bottle and create methane as a byproduct. This methane, our biogas, is then collected from the top of the bottle and stored for future use in cooking, with heating or for running small engines. That said, this little biogas chamber isn't going to build much pressure so if I can even get a brief puff of flame out of this I'm calling it a success and moving on to a larger build. Something large enough to run our old BBQ would be nice ... BioGas BBQ, sounds fun!
