'Dynagroove' ('Victor Record') Boxed-Set; LP 1 of 11, Side 2

From a boxed-set of LPs--a fantastic gift from one of her nephews in Nagoya--given to my mom visiting Japan 50 years ago. It was her first time back home since leaving in 1960.

Summer, 1968, I was 8 years old and fortunate to have gone with her.

Touring included stays with family in Yamagata, Yokohama and Nagoya, meeting some of my relatives--grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins--for the first time. With many, it would be our only meeting.

With countless clear memories recalled in vivid detail, I thought I remembered everything from that 2-3 week trip. Putting this together--looking back--I’ve started to realize how much of it is a blur.

The records take me back to my childhood, "Ano Machi, Kono Machi" (track 2) my favorite from the set. Handled by kids and adults alike--played for over half a century--I’m quite happy they’ve survived, and I definitely treat them with a lot more respect now than I did growing up.

Unable to find them anywhere in any format, I’m making them available so others can enjoy them as well.

A question and final note regarding the boxed-set…

10 references on the box, along with 10 albums--jackets numbered 1-10 and labels marked “10S 1”-“10S 10”--everything indicates a collection of 10, except there is an 11th album squeezed into the box. Unnumbered, nothing on its jacket identifies the album as part of this set or any set. However, its label--marked "10S 11"--does match the others.

I am curious to find out and hoping someone might know if there are/were additional volumes/albums related to this set.
