Is Borat racist?

Comedian Gerry K tells Cristo that Borat is a film that parodies Kazakhstan which "has no great deal of clout on the global stage," saying it is "almost like bullying the small guy in world terms."

Gerry highlights that whilst Sacha Baron Cohen is 'picking' on Kazakhstan, "it is a country and not a race", saying that if Borat had been a parody of an African nation where white actors would have had to black up "he would actually be doing the impression of someone from a different race."

Cristo states that he enjoys uncomfortable comedy "that brings out people's prejudices, their flaws and their ups and downs," but feels there is a double standard where people find it acceptable because it targets Trump supporters, "I'm no fan of Trump but I'm also not a fan of double standards."
