The Pot of Caviare by Arthur Conan Doyle, first published in 1908.

This is a great story set at the time of the Boxer Rebellion in China. Conan Doyle later dramatised the story and presented it as a play in 1928.

A group of characters including a French priest, a German commandant, a Scottish presbyterian minister and a British diplomat, among others, are under siege. Bullets and food are quickly running out. Will the relief column get to them in time? Will the Californian professor of entomology talk about his past?

This is a taut and powerful story. I hope you enjoy it!
