Street Debate - Is gender equality a bad motion in Uganda?

Uganda has a pretty poor reputation when it comes to the treatment of women. How did things get so bad and what can be done to change this? That's what 77 Percent reporter Edith Kimani asked her panel of guests for this week's street debate in Kampala. Women play a vital role in supporting their communities in Africa, but they represent only about 15 percent of the continent's landowners. Girls are still often married off at an early age, are far more vulnerable to sexual assault and have a higher rate of illiteracy. But there are women fighting to change things for the better.
