Installing a Nest Learning Thermostat or other similar thermostats in RV or Mobile Home

It is not as refined as the Nest and honestly looks cheap in both construction and interface, but the install is very simple because you order base off your current thermostat. It offers some of the features, most importantly remote operation.

ADDENDUM : When selecting heat during setup, USE FAN refers to your AC unit fan. You can choose DO NOT USE FAN, and it will only turn on the 12v heater fan.

Choose your power option. 12vdc to 24vac if you need heat without shoreline or generator.

Video showing components needed and installation of the Nest Learning Thermostat, which requires 24vac, into an RV that has 12vdc. This application is for heat, AC and two speed fan. The video shows connection using 120vac transformer. If you require the use of your heater, without a shoreline or generator, you will need to choose the more expensive 12vdc to 24vac power inverter option. There is a diagram listed for both options.
