side note: I got a call to go over to the Hosipital in Oakland by someone at the studio (that Paul lived in and I practiced at) to see what was up with Paul.I don't know Gary Holt but I got called into the private room with Gary, their manager (i think) and a girlfriend of theirs when the doctor layed down what was up with Paul and showed us the x-rays of Pauls head. Paul would hangout with us and watch my band practice at the studio he lived in. He also had my band at the time opened for Exodus at The Pound in SF. I would play Ruthies and The Mab when I was a kid (15-18 yrs old with my metal band) and always see Paul around. I was pissing in the bathroom at Ruthies Inn in Berkeley CA (back in around 1983 - 85) when Paul ripped the bathroom apart, all in the kind of fun he like to have. He first tryed to piss on my shoe when I was at the urinal and he in the stall. Then he started to push and pull at the stall walls. I got the fuck out of there and the rest is history....rip baloff

Another funny Paul story; He and I went to KUSF to promote the show we were playing together. Well I spoke first and while they played a song from the band I was in the DJ says where's Paul and I look down the hall and I said you're up next man. Well Paul was busy eating CDs in the hallway and his mouth was all bloody. Anyway I jump back on the radio for a second they play one more of my songs while Paul gets pieces of CDs out of his mouth and then he takes over the radio waves in his own delightful way. There was a girl with me there and she said do we have to take him home to?! These were some of the last days Paul was around. I always knew of Paul but I was a kid and had lots of funny run-ins with him. But the last six months of his life I really got to know. He was such a funny fucker!
