Flying between two points using Google Earth

PPL NuggetsTutorial for PPL Students or license holders who want to use Google Earth to virtually fly a route to help with navigation exercises.
The flight simulator in Google Earth is very hard to control and of limited use for this purpose, this video shows you how to create a straight path between two waypoints and fly it at a given height, great for studying before a navigation exercise. It also shows how to use the instrumentation to cross reference with your Aviation Map and how to stop at various points to look around, move the point of view to see what landmarks look like from the air and resume the flight from where you left off. To finish we look at adding and removing detail overlays from the map such as highlighting roads.

I found this immensely useful planning for the navigation phase of my GST, and I didn't find easy instructions to do so, so thought I'd do one myself:)

It's also my first video, hope you find it useful and saves you some time ! :)

Cheers,

Guy
