It was lunch time and what better place to start off the vlog than Dorabjee and sons Restaurant. The restaurant has been here since 1878.It’s the 3rd oldest restaurant in India. So much history to this place. You can see menus from 1940 when dishes were sold out for 4 annas.Quite unbelievable! The owner Mr.Dariyus Dorabjee is an amazing host and helped us choose a beautiful array of Parsi specialities.
What we had
1.Chicken Dhansak- Quintessential Parsi Dish made by cooking chicken with lentils and vegetables.Very healthy too.
2.Salli Chicken-Flavorful Brown chicken curry topped off with crispy potato salli.
3.Chicken Farcha-Deep fried goodness. Makes for a great appetizer.
4.Caramel Custard-It would be a crime if you don’t have this amazing custard. It has just the right amount of sweetness and the melt in the mouth texture id to die for.
2.Budhani Bros Waferwala

If you are on M G road ,it is quite hard to miss the amazing aroma of wafers wafting around.Budhani wafers have been here since 1955 and are mainly famous for their wafers. They constantly work on innovating on new flavours. We found Piri Piri very tasty. We were lucky enough to be shown around the packing facility and witness the spiralizer which gets freshly fired wafers down to the packing facility. Its quite hypnotizing to see it.Since we were too full from the lunch we took a packet of wafers on the go.

3.Marz-o-rin

Another institution in its self, it is situated right across the street from Budhani wafers .The go to place for many college kids. The menu has a lot of variants from healthy brown bread sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, rolls, juices. We opted for the classic Green chutney sandwich and apple juice which was delightful.
