Summit1G Lessons and Notes for Review:

Many people come from games it have a 50% chance to win. Any team games like Apex typically has only one other team that you are going out. Many different games have iterated 33 or all out raw, but for the most part in almost games, you play competitively you will have one group of opponents versus another group of opponents. Winning and losing Does not work that way in Apex

1. First rule that you will die. It’s kind of like they should just kill you after, because let’s be honest if you do not die off drop, which both people choose to do by hot, you have a 96% chance to not win.

Some of the best and best pros in the world like summit, will die off drop whether it’s a good lobby or a pub lobby. This is a tournament, but it still exposes the truth. Don’t feel so bad about your games that’s just a VR and it will get better more and get accustomed to it.

2. Well, now you might be thinking Apex is a completely different game and won’t utilize the learned shooting skills, peaks, cover, basic principles of tac shooters… That’s where you’re wrong. In this clip, Summit exposes how even a fight that he was sitting out done and out, maneuver him, with basic tactics he was able to do, over a teammates and a half worth of damage, and almost a clutch one with no help. If you were paying attention earlier, and you wanna rewind the first clip you notice that summit has some very good movement such as crouching toddler, crouching ADS into hip firing, many more basics that allow him to win that fight.

If you take a look at the video, I showed with courage playing playing Apex legends, one thing I noticed in a lie you noticed is that any downside almost exclusively with weapons like the r301 which makes an easy sitting duck, and added an immediate disadvantage in most fights in Apex

3. Context Matters. We rarely apply context to our fights. We look at them as a linear situation, we won 3 fights in a row, or lost 3 fights in a row. We hardly parse out the different situations and compare them to the game’s difficulty level to give ourselves accurate feedback on wh at we should’ve done to improve.

One fight is 2v1 with Syd, Better weapon (car vs p2020) and a blue shield in the very early stages. All advantages

1v1 caught off guard and shot at first, Worse weapon (G7 doubletap w/o knowledge vs charged sentinel) and a blue shield in the late stages of the game which is a major disadvantage

Both of these loadouts win in different scenarios, and while it feels like he got owned, or that you may just not be better than that player, his circumstances of armor and weapon end up making it a lost fight before he begins. No skill would’ve most likely overcome that fight.

Many of you and myself included make a common mistake in judging the wrong elements for your loss OR, get this, YOUR VICTORY, and thus don’t improve on the right things to keep getting better.
