It has been a wild ride, but the end of Attack on Titan is nearing. With that said, we would like to take a look at one of the three important families in Attack on Titan’s history; The Ackermans. While humanity has its back against the wall, figuratively and literally there are still those willing to fight the Titan menace. The proud members of the Scout Regiment as well as all the Garrison and Military Police. Now in this grimdark world where death is commonplace and monstrous titans there are few silver linings. However, once in a blue moon there will be particularly gifted individuals that become the closest thing to heroes in this world. In Attack on Titan there are two; Levi and Mikasa Ackerman. Granted, Mikasa is less known as she joins the Scouts at the beginning of the series, but Levi is a living legend among the Scouts. It is revealed in Season 3 that Levi and Mikasa share a common lineage; they are part of the Ackerman Clan. This family served the king back during the time of Ymir, the first Titan and served as King Fritz’s super soldiers. They were given some of the earliest experiments and it allowed them certain powers, the most common of which is shared battle experience. During the course of the series we see Levi and Mikasa show a tremendous amount of strength, but there are two things that need to be discussed; what exactly is the Ackerman family lineage? What is the history? Moreover what exactly caused the Ackermans to have such amazing powers. We will be looking at all that and more in today’s video.
