RESTORE AND PROTECT CLEAR VINYL BOAT WINDOWS

Clear vinyl windows, such as Isinglass or Strataglass, on a boat, deteriorate over time. Fine scratching from dust and dirt, pollution and UV damage from the sun all take their toll.

Washing and wiping doesn’t seem to help anymore. Without proper care plastic windows turn white, get brittle and start to crack or become brown and gummy. Replacement can cost thousands of dollars.

Today, we’re going to show you how easy it is to restore a foggy window on this older Searay, with Aurora Clear View.

Aurora Clear View comes complete as a 2 bottle kit.

Trish is a professional boat detailer but she’s never used Clear View before.
She didn’t believe me when I told her how easy and effective it was to restore foggy old boat windows. She wanted to prove for herself that it was better than the product that she was now using and ….. I was happy to put her to work.

The 1st step is to rub away the oxidized plastic, fine scratches and in ground dirt with the cleaner restorer using a soft cotton cloth.

Next, wipe away the haze with a microfiber cloth.

We do the interior of the window the same way. This window is already looking a lot better.

We’re going to apply some number 2 to a soft cotton cloth and rub that into the plastic window on both the inside and outside to fill in the scratches, protect the vinyl from UV and restore the optical clarity.

Next, Buff away the haze.

Now we can do the outside with the UV Protector. 1st rub it into the plastic with a soft cotton cloth.

And finally buff off the haze with a microfiber cloth. I think she’s a believer.

Well there you have it. A Clear View. Thanks Trish. You did a great job. This vinyl window looks brand new again.
