Wolverine is a Christian

From the original (90's) XMEN animated series

While on vacation Rogue, Gambit, and Wolverine get into a skiing accident and take refuge in a monastery. Here they meet Nightcrawler, a mutant that has been mistaken as a demon by the townsfolk. The 3 X-Men then help the monks get through to the locals while at the same time finding answers to some of their own questions.

This is the REAL Nightcrawler, not the teeny-bopping immature brat that he has been turned into in the 21st century version of the XMEN. Nightcrawler was originally a ex-circus performer, turned Christian monk when he joined the XMEN.
Also, this is how Wolverine was meant to be portrayed. Nowadays he's a aimless anti-hero, but when he was first created he had purpose. Yes he's an animal at times, but he knows the truth :)
