The Amerian Narrowboater

In this episode of The American Narrowboater we explore the origins of the Erie Canal in upper New York State. I do a brief history and then show you the types of narrowboats you can rent to cruise the cut. You'll be interested to know that the canal was heavily influenced by the canals of UK as were the hire boats. Plus the canal was dug by Irish immigrants.
