Today I want to explore some online business rules that I break. And yes, people have told me - flat out - that I'm hurting my business growth because of this. But, I disagree. Severely. And I have the facts to back it up.

When it comes to running your online business, I believe that ultimately, there is no right or wrong way. Yes there might be certain practices or systems that we can follow and utilize, but that doesn't mean going your own way or breaking these patterns will lead you to a worse fate. I believe the opposite. I believe you should follow your instinct and go with your gut, especially with your own business.

Authenticity is such an important key factor in any brand, and if you're doing what everyone else is saying, then chances are you are sacrificing a huge portion of comfort and a sense of relief, because you are running your own race. People tell me all the time that I'm doing online business wrong, that I should do this or should do that - but I've done it my way, and it has been working for the last 12 years.
