Hypervigilance in C-PTSD

I always wondered why everything felt so exhausting.

After learning about Complex PTSD, many experiences seemed to align with hypervigilance.

Being sensitive to sounds.
Overanalyzing other people’s words and behavior.
Constantly questioning whether personal reactions or behavior seemed wrong.

When the nervous system stays in an unsafe environment for too long, it can enter a constant state of alert, always scanning for danger and safety cues.
