Woman Shot and Killed One Hour After Going to Police Station to Report Ex-Boyfriend’s Alleged Stalking

A Florida woman was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend Wednesday less than an hour after she went to the police to report he was stalking her, according to a report.
Police said that Fridelène Daniel, 34, was killed in the parking lot of her apartment building in Boynton Beach, Florida, by Robens Cesar, 41.
"The victim and the suspect...were at the Boynton Beach Police Department prior to the shooting incident,” police said in a statement.
Daniels had been there to report Cesar's alleged stalking, CBS 12 reported , and she told them he followed her to the station as well.
Boynton Beach authorities said they are investigating the incident to "ensure all actions taken were in accordance with established policies and procedures.”
The officer who took Daniel’s report has been placed on leave as the department investigates the incident. "We are fully committed to transparency and accountability and we will continue to keep the public informed of any significant developments in this case,” the department said.
Police told CBS 12 said Cesar confessed to the killing, and that he called Daniel’s decision to go to the police “the final straw.”
Daniel’s family told the station that Cesar had been waiting for her when she got back from the police station just before 9 a.m. She reportedly said "Oh, did you bring a gun to kill me?” to Cesar before he allegedly shot her dead.
Cesar was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with first-degree murder.
He told police that he was trying to convince Daniels to get back together with him, per the outlet. He said he "couldn't stand to see Fridelène with another man,” police said, per CBS 12.
