Anantapur Honey Trap Case | Police Officials Dismissed Over Shocking Links

A major crackdown has taken place in the sensational honey trap case reported in Anantapur district. Senior officials have taken strict action against police personnel after an internal investigation revealed serious misconduct.

Sriharsha, a Circle Inspector from Rapthadu, along with constables Giri, Durgaprasad, and Devalanayak, have been dismissed from service for allegedly maintaining close links with the accused and neglecting victim complaints.

The investigation found that the key accused, including Rangamma alias Chinni, Malleshwari, and Umadevi, had close connections with the police personnel involved. Authorities also confirmed financial transactions worth lakhs transferred from the accused’s accounts to those of the officers.

In the same case, Sub-Inspector Rambabu and constables Devendra and Jayaram Naik have been suspended, while CI Shekhar has been sent to VR (Vacancy Reserve).
